2. Select wire and mesh from the application
Wire and mesh should be selected together. A smaller opening and larger wire generally produce a heavier, stiffer panel, but the final choice also affects visibility, cost, coating area, handling and compatibility with posts. The project specification should define the security need and design inputs rather than relying on a single adjective such as “heavy duty.”

3. Define the V-bend arrangement
The location and number of V-bends should appear on the approved panel drawing.
